Don't forget

Failure to make payments on time or to stay within your credit limit means that you'll pay additional charges, and may make it more expensive and difficult to get credit in the future.

How does an interest-free balance transfer work?

Transfers must be made within the first 60 days of opening your account (3% fee applies)

Each transfer must be at least £100, and you can transfer more than one balance. A fee applies to each transfer.

The total of all balance transfers and transfer fees can't be more than 90% of your available credit limit

All balance transfers are subject to approval, and you must follow your credit card terms to remain eligible

You can transfer balances from most UK credit cards, except Aqua, marbles, Bip, opus, American Express, Revolut, 118 118 Money, store cards, prepaid cards, Cashplus cards, Zable credit cards and business credit cards

Transfers must be made within the first 60 days of account opening to get the 0% interest introductory rate. Transfers made after 60 days will be charged the standard balance transfer rate

Your initial credit limit will be between £250 and £4000. Remember, if you go over your credit limit or miss a minimum payment, you'll no longer get the introductory rate. After that, your standard balance transfer rate will apply to any remaining balance

Before you get started

Do I keep paying my old balance while it transfers to my new Fluid card?

Yes. Keep making monthly repayments to your old credit card until the balance transfer shows on that account.

Just remember to check any fees, keep up with your monthly payments, and note the interest rate that applies once the offer period ends.

*Make sure you consider whether transferring your credit card debt is the right option for you. Compare the rates of interest on the cards, including the rate charged after any initial 0% offer period plus the balance transfer fees, before you go ahead.
